Hi, there are many free hosts out there but most of them require constant postings, large ads or annoying popups. After spending a long time looking around at free hosts I have found two hosts that have been around for a fair while with a consistently great service.

For small personal websites that do not need much space, 50Webs is the best free hosting provider available. They offer an easy to use control panel with features such as ftp and pop3 email support. The free hosting plan allows you to store up to 60mg with unlimited bandwidth.

Logical-Host:
Logical-Host provides much more robust hosting however they require you to post once to sign up. Posts start at 15 posts (one time) for 1gb storage and 5gb bandwidth. This host provides support for ftp, pop email accounts, server site scripting, fantastico and everything you would expect from a paid host.
Overview:
In conclusion, 50Webs is perfect for small personal websites where as Logical-Host is more suited to larger websites that need more features. Both web hosts are completely free with no ads.
